I hope you reach out to your friend, just to let her know you’re thinking about her, without any pressure for to her respond. A few years ago when I went on an unexpected hiatus from blogging, a few of my blogging friends emailed to check on me, and I was quite moved by their concern. It was reassuring to know that people cared when I was going through a rough time. Meanwhile, this is a lovely post, and I hope she sees it.

Well thank you for your brilliant writing! BTW, I have had more clicks on the link to your essay than any other link, ever, on my Substack. :) Happy I'm able to share it.

Charlotte, I, too, am so glad we met via the internet! My advice: reach out. One thing I’ve learned (so far) in this life: better to do something than to have regrets you didn’t. You’re a kind, caring, talented and smart woman. Follow your heart. Deb

They did see it and clicked the link so I’m happy. It is nice to have someone check on you like your blogging friends did. I know well known authors get unsolicited DM’s all the time so I’m hyper vigilant about doing that, even though it’s well intentioned.
